About the lodge
- Currently hold the Quality Assured AA Grading – Highly Recommended
- There are 5 bedrooms – each with a double bed (made from logs) with mattresses and pillow protectors; wooden bedside pedestals with reading lamps; luggage racks and built-in cupboards. White linen with a water/nautical-themed throw, as well as beautiful scatter cushions. Each room has a fan. Lovely neutral-colored curtains ensure privacy. Terracotta tiled floors throughout.
- Two full bathrooms with shower and bath.
- A beautifully decorated dining room that seats 10 people.
- Spacious, fully equipped farm kitchen with a pantry, gas/electric combination stove/oven, fridge/freezer combo refrigerator and a box freezer.
- A comfortably furnished lounge area which opens up onto a raised balcony where you can enjoy an early morning cup of coffee or tea and watch the bush come to life.
- Large viewing deck, overlooking the river, that includes a built-in splash pool. A boma has been built close to the deck area where you can relax and warm up around the fire during the cooler winter evenings.
- Outside dining facilities for 10 people on the deck, as well as pool loungers for those long, lazy summer days.
Other on-site Activities
- Enjoy game drives twice daily a early morning drive with Amarula coffee and rusks as well as a late afternoon drive with snacks.
- Early morning bush walks with an experience field guide.
Additional Information
- Children of all ages are welcome.
- We have wine, limited soft drinks and local beers available, as well as bottled water should you require a mini bar. A mini bar can be arranged prior to your arrival.
- The camp is fully serviced and all bed linen and towels are supplied.
- Day trips to the Kruger National Park and sightseeing tours of the Panorama Route, Moholoholo, HESC, and Olifants Kambaku River Cruise can be arranged.
- The Phalaborwa Gate is 40km from the Lodge and the Orpen Gate is 110km away, for self-drive adventures within the Kruger Park.
- Firewood and ice are sold at the Camp.
Restrictions
- A minimum stay of two nights is required.
- No loud noise or music is permitted.
- No smoking within the unit. There are outside smoking facilities.
- We have strict gate times – the gate closes at 19h00. Access will be possible after this time only in an emergency with prior arrangement.
- Check-in times are strictly from 14h00 to 19h00 and check-out is at 10h00.
- Our access road into the reserve is a sand/gravel road. A 4×2 or 4×4 is highly recommended. Vehicles with low ground clearance should take extra caution and sport conversions are NOT recommended.
- If you are booked on a self-catering basis, please make sure you bring all your supplies with you, as the nearest town is 40km’s from us.
